This quarry is worked by the Covelano Marmi company in Castelbello (BZ) and is the exclusive property of the Pohl Family from Castelbello. It produces Bianco Covelano (White Covelano) and Bianco Venosta (White Venosta) – ornamental marbles of high aesthetic quality (see samples). The quarry produces approx 2,000 cubic metres every year. The blocks (whose average volume is approx 5-7 cubic metres) can be seen in the Covelano Marmi company’s marble depot in Silandro. For the provinces of Massa-Carrara and Lucca, the sales rights for White Covelano blocks, slabs and “worked materials” belong exclusively to SA.GE.VAN MARMI (until 2012 and extendable).
